Randy and I have known each other about two years.

We got engaged Sunday, August 19th, 2007.

No definate wedding date set but do NOT want a long engagement.
Thinking it could happen anywhere between 2 months and 6 months.

We got engaged officially on January 28th, 2007. Unofficially was sometime back in October or November of '06. In that, we didn't have the ring until January

I expect to be married in 2.5 weeks

Andrew and I have been best friends for nearly 5 years.

When did you get engaged?

After many fortnightly flights interstate to see each other and 3 months of courting, Andrew proposed on the 18th May 2007 after a beautiful night out starting with dinner and seeing Miss Saigon... Then a walk to the Shrine of Rememberence overlooking the city.

When do you expect to have your wedding?

February 16th 2008.

Most of the planning is done. Just need to organise 6 bridemaids dresses and we are all set... We still have pre-martial conselling to complete...We are seeing the pastor once a month, 3 hours drive away...

I'm very sorry to hear that. I am in that situation right now as well. Rod was so anxious to get married and now all of a sudden, has cooled off way too much about it, and doesn't want to talk about setting a date/planning a wedding. I feel for ya girl.

^^^I'm in the same position...but for good reason...he wants to have everything straightened out and together before we discuss a date...so before we got engaged, I brought it up alot...but now, I don't bring it up...I know my fiance' has enough on his plate without having to think about how he's going to pay for a wedding right now...

I knew my fiance for 1 day before we started dating, three weeks later we were engaged. This was two years and three hundred sixty-three days ago. In other words, on Thursday we wil have been engaged for 3 years.

We were planning on marrying in May of 2005, but unfortunately, he got sick with lupus and died. But he was back alive 30 minutes later, but he's still recovering from it, and currently unable to work.

My family has set a bride-price on me... both of us must have ALL $40,000 (together) in student loans paid off before we can marry, so we don't know when in the world it's gonna happen. And last time we went to the Justice of the Peace... my family had it annuled. But the vows are still there...
