Hey!!!!! What's going on over in the character thread?? Characters are being deleted and its annoying!

Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Grrrrrrrr! I need those threads! I forgot a detail on one of my chars but I went to look back and it wasn't there. How annoying.

Yeah, save your character into a Word document or something like that. 
What I do with my RPG threads is keep a running list of characters involved, with links to their profiles in the Characters forum... usually maintained in a post in the OOC thread. (Also in the first post of the actual RPG, too.) It saves having to backtrack through the Character board to find a character who was made up months ago.
I'm not quite sure what's going on with characters being deleted; it could just be that they've been buried under a pile of newer profiles.

I suppose that would be annoying. I have a large folder with all my book chars and rpg chars combined, because i do not trust electronics.

Okay. I saved mine on Word. It is annoying. I have taken it upon myself to read other rpgs, and half the char threads are gone.

*sigh* I used to plan out my chars on paper before I wrote typed them but now it was jsut easier not to. Great.

Give me some character names, and I could probably hunt them down... I found Rosalyn; she was... buried. It's easy to overlook stuff; happens to me all the time.
