Chapter and Verse needed...

Hey guys, I need a chapter and verse refenerence for: "baptism is an outward sign of an inward faith" style of thing... This is what I believe, but I can't hold to it and teach it to others without biblical backing and i need some help finding it!

there was a thread started on this a few weeks ago.. read through that and see if you have any further questions on it... we'd be more than happy to help you..

however.. just a general note.. that you will not find a verse that says "baptize people with water as a symbol of your spiritual baptizm" in those words.. but I feel that when I read the passages relating to baptism, and learned a lil history of the times.. that this was MUCH clearer that even the concept of the trinity.
