I want you to read this recent post from "Ask a Chaplain."
Today, there are people on CF who are learning about Jesus for the first time. Before you hit the "submit" button on your post, ask yourself this: what does your post teach people about Jesus? Does it show people that Jesus teaches his followers to be loving, peace-filled, and grounded? Or does it show people that Jesus teaches his followers to fly off the handle and speak harshly?
This site is a ministry, and every Christian here shares in that ministry. Remember that your words may have a much greater effect than you will ever know.
Looking back on it I have always believed in Jesus, he has always been a real person to me, not a fictional character.... I do believe that Jesus is the Son of God and it is this belief that keeps bringing me back to Christianity. When I think of the torture that He endured for me it makes me want to cry. I feel that something that I feel this deeply must be affecting me for a reason, and so here I am.
I have been reading this out to my Mum and sister and I can honestly say that they are not scornful at all and the more I talk about my love of Christ the more accepting they actually are.
I feel so light inside as if a great weight has been lifted, and my Mum and sister are now members here as they wish to find out more.
