Just wondering if it's OK to change what I'm giving up for lent?

I started by giving up daytime tv and diet pepsi. However something this weekend has urged me to give up "yelling" at my children, instead of the pop. I know I should or could do all 3, but not "yelling" or raising my voice at my children is a much larger issue than pop. And honestly I don't think I could ever do it with out caffine.;)

Also, I have added the rosary everyday and mass at least 3 times a week plus sunday.

Any thoughts?

First, I would like to say that I'm so happy that you just used the word "pop". You have my everlasting respect.

About what you should give up - All 3. You can get caffeine in other places if your body truly needs it. Fasting = pop; Prayer = rosary; Almsgiving = yelling, in a way. You've got all three aspects of Lent covered right there.
