CHANGED: CF Friends changed to CF Buddies

CF Friends have been recoded and renamed CF Buddies. This new code is much better optimized and will be better for our servers.

This is how it works - if you put someone on your Buddy List, and the same person puts you on his or her Buddy List, both of you become each other's CF Buddy and enter each other CF Buddies List.

You can see a member's CF Buddies List from the dropdown menu in a member's post, by clicking this icon in a post OR in a profile, or you can click on "View Member Buddies" in a member's profile as well.

You can choose NOT to show your CF Buddies List by going to your User CP, Options, and unchecking the CF Buddies List box there.

NOTE: As CF Friends have been removed and replaced with CF Buddies, if you had disabled CF Friends in the past, you need to do it again for CF Buddies.

I just found out there is no way to add a "buddy" to the list...unless it is no longer the way it used to be. How do you add a buddy to your personal list?

I like the new setup a lot , but I have one question: How do I find out now who has added me to their buddy list?

I just got an automatic PM telling me someone has connected to me.

It came from Erwin instead of Chrisbot.

I just went to view MY buddy list and because I have it set to private even I can not look at it.

Also, you should be able to see your buddy list even if you disable it for others.

AWW. That is why the PM became necessary.

Knight4God and I tested earlier today and we did not get a PM when we disconnected from each other.

True buddies are only those that also have "connected" to you.

I would like to know also because some of mine are missing and I don't know who they were.

huh?

If they are in your buddy list, it is because they linked to you, and you to them. It has to be both ways before it shows up on the buddy list.
