Bahahaaa! That would work!! We have an afikomen bag, so our ds number 3 put it between encyclopediae in the study... I do't think our 3 yo would have found it had he not had some serious help this year.
Sounds like your's was a fun Seder Zemirah!!
Our youngest (26), our only also, joined us for the first time in several years. He played hard at dising Dad for needling him as the youngest male "child" - and got him to help him with the Ma Nish Ta Na - but DS #1 got to read the english questions by him self - and there was good natured needling all around as the friend he brought with him kept telling us at the table that he had said all there was to eat at the Seder was horsradish and other non-food. His friend kept saying it was the best "non-food" they had ever eaten!!
Homemade Kosher Chicken soup w/my mum-in-luv's Matzah balls - like clouds!
Homemade Tzimmes - stewed in the overn slowly for half a day
Large Koshe Shoulder of Lamb - my personal Yom Tov recipe stuffed with slices of garlic and smothered in a glaze of Honey and Curry
Green beans
Dessert:
Merianges - My Mum-in-luv's family recipe - she makes them every Peaskh and we always fight over them!
Macaroons - 3 delightful flavors
Melon balls
Cocoa dusted chocolate covered almonds - my personal indiscretion!!
Today we noshed on leftover soup kept warm in the Shabbos oven, and matzah w/peanutbutter and a wonderful blueberry jam. Leftover Kharoset and cheese made a delightful Sabbath morning breakfast. And "sneaking" slices of left over lamb round out the fun!!
We had wonderful guests this year. Folks traveled from 60, 100 and 150 miles away!! Our Seder was blessed by the presence of all - we laughed and learned from each other, and ate, and worshipped!
Thank you Epiphany - our wine was sweet indeed as was our company. The only thing that could have made it better, I think, was if Eliyahu had actually walked through the door!!
Hag Samayakh to all!!
