  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Okay... I get it now...

If you are up near northeast Georgia, (and I would highly recommend a trip during the 2nd week of October) you should do the following:
- Go to Dillard, GA and visit the Dillard House (prepare to eat lots and lots of great southern cooking, but it's pricey). You will love the scenery on the way there too.
- Visit the "Mark of the Potter" in Rabun (not far from Dillard, and the drive is breathtaking in October too)!
- Go visit Helen, GA (they have Obtoberfest, which is fun
- Visit the Toccoa Falls waterfall, in Toccoa, Georgia, which has the tallest waterfall on the east side of the Mississippi river and is taller than Niagra Falls!

This would make for a really, really great weekend trip!

FL in August - hottest time there - My visit there will be nearly as bad - going in July. . . .

Liked reading about GA spots to visit.

Don't know if you will go near St. Augustine but I've heard it's very nice there. The white beaches on the Gulf side of FL are nice and Casperson Beach is the shark tooth capital of the world if you get near Venice- Venice also has the place that sells those wonderful tumblers that aren't supposed to sweat.

There's a great restaurant in Hernando, FL - near Ocala - they have the best blackened tuna I've ever eaten - actually I don't know if they sell it anywhere else. Think about Stumpknockers on a river ------ Just in case you get to that area of FL
