CF Reform being planned

I plan on making some radical changes to CF moderation and the appeals process.

I am still discussing this with some people and senior staff.

These changes will please some and upset others. However, I anticipate that the changes will overall address the issues of accountability, transparency and clarity being raised by some members. It will involve a rethink of how the whole system works really.

These changes will not happen overnight, and will take time to implement.

I thank you for your patience. We are not perfect and we have our internal issues, and I apologise for this. There is plenty of room for improvement and I am aware of this.

Bear with me as I find out the best way to do this.

I sincerely want to thank you for taking seriously the comments, questions, and concerns that people have brought forth regarding the issues you mentioned. It says a great deal about you - and your desire to continue to improve CF as a whole.

I am glad that staff is constantly seeking out ways to improve things.

I'm sure that a good solution will be reached. However, I wish to say something.

While I recognize that there are some valid concerns that can be addressed, I would encourage staff to be ever mindful of the verifiable fact that it is but a vocal minority who are sharing concerns, many of whom agreed to begin a concerted protest/"call for reform" on Memorial Day (May 30th.)

That does not de facto render their concerns invalid, and I'm confident that staff will discern what portion of the concerns are valid and should have reforms made.

However, I also trust that the staff is not being brow-beat into reform by what appears to be an organized assault on the Forum Support area during the past week.

Suffice to say there is no organization; there is no agenda. All are free to use the avatar of Christ of Maryknoll for whatever reason they choose. Search however you wish, you will find no manifesto, no rules, no leader.

no, no. All along, the entire time I've been here, I post like me. Suddenly that's no longer allowed, I get warnings & post & thread deletes. In my confusion about this strange new situation, I got a helpful PM from a helpful real live troll revealing thatshe & her friends have a 'report rf' sceme in heavy rotation, and it appears to be working quite nicely. Suddenly posting like I have posted all along is no longer allowed. But when I try to post like someone else, like a 74 year old man from the east coast, for instance, it just doesn't work out. So obviously, the correct conclusion to draw is that bland & generic posting is the only thing tolerated, & in spite of my appeal: bland & generic rules, apparently.

Now about this May 30 conspiracy. How come someone like you, obviously hostile to it knows about it & someone like me, obviously sympathetic is in the dark?

Oh yeah! Cuz posting here is no longer fun, now that I can only post like the monotone recording that tells you to continue to hold, your call will be answered in the order that it was received. If I ever am allowed to post like me again, I'll post more often & be more hip about the various behind the scenes sceming that goes on among us 'lil people'
