They're friends of my here, and this is a post the husband just made in a fellowship thread.

Please pray for little Phillip Matthew, his healthcare team, and mom and Dad :prayer:

My niece was born under similar circumstances last year and it's so scary, so frustrating not to be able to even touch the new wee one.

I've been gone a couple days. AmyR00 was 33 weeks pregnant and her water broke early thursday morning. They stopped the labor and gave her steroids for the baby's lungs. All seemed fine until 2 this morning when she called me to tell me they were doing an emergency C section. I made the 45 minute drive in less than 25 and Phillip Matthew was born at 3 pound 13 oz. He's in intensive care for at least a few weeks, but they assure me he's doing very well. He was alert at birth and didn't need a respirator, both very good signs. I'll try to make my presence felt in General political soon, but for now I wanted to update you and ask for prayers. If someone wants to bring this to the women's discussion in the christians only section, I'd be grateful. For now, I'm an emotional wreck and need sleep and I'm in the best shape. Amy is doing as well as be can be expected. The hardest thing will be watching other people take care of my little boy for at least 2 weeks, probably more like 5.

Thank you all for the prayers. It is such a blessing to know that people I've never even met care enough to intercede on my behalf. I came home from the hospital today without Phillip. He is doing very well. They took him off oxygen today and expect to take his IV out tonight. He's not eating on his own, yet but he's doing very well with the milk they are putting in his feeding tube. Right now he sleeps most of the time, but they say that is normal. We're hoping he becomes more alert in the next few days and they can start trying to feed by mouth.

I'll update as I can, the next few weeks will be very hectic.
