Celtic music can help you grow closer to Jesus

It's great that celtic music makes you feel closer to Christ.
But I'm concerned that you are confusing having an emotion with being close to God. You say that listening to cletic music makes you think about "Mother Earth." The concept of "Mother Earth" is pagan, not Christian, and if it is what you are thinking about, then it is NOT bringing you closer to God.
Being closer to God is also not the same thing as being in sync with nature. That too is a pagan practice.
When celtic music lets you hear the voice of Christ, what is that voice saying?
Lastly, don't assume that just because you like celtic music, that all people will get the same emotions you do from it. All kinds of music reach all kinds of people at all kinds of times.
I am very concerned that you are trying to mix faith in Christ with faith in New Age. They can't be mixed. You have to choose which one you are going to follow. You can't just add Christ to other religions, you have to abandon all other faiths and beliefs and follow Christ only if you are going to be a Christian.

I believe you can mix different religious beliefs into Christianity. For example, I am part Indian. I believe the Earth is our Mother because we came from the Earth by God's own hands. (see the book of Genesis for more information). New Age beliefs are not something that should immediately be accused as Evil. Here's how I view this issue:
1.) We came from the Earth by God's own hand and therefore, the Earth is our Mother.
2.) Christ can speak freely to those who listen to New Age music because there are no spoken words. Spoken words cause distraction.
3.) God made me who I am and HE made me free to believe what I wish. HE has told me time and time again that I do not have to prove myself to anyone but my Church, friends, & family. The concept of "Mother Earth" is, not Christian, and if it is what you are thinking about, then it is NOT bringing you closer to God.
I find this funny because I am having the exact opposite. Again, you said: You say that listening to cletic music makes you think about "Mother Earth." Why can't I believe in Mother Earth and still follow Christ? I still pray, go to Church, read Christian books, etc. LambsLove, I appreciate your concern. Yes, you did now that I remember the question. HE says this:
Be Still And Know That I AM Christ The Lord, the Son of the Almighty, Holy, Justful, Loving, Caring Father Which Art In Heaven. Be Still As my father once said: "God can reach us through music, different theologies, ideas, & beliefs." IMHO, Celtic music is a new spiritual awakening. Christians need to accept New Age beliefs and respect the Christians who have New Age theologies and ideals. As my Bible Teacher Dr. K.P. Yohannan once said: "We need to take the road to reality." Now my hands hurt and I am going to get offline. Peace be with you.
