These talks are very good. He doesn't wander into New-Age romanticism, but sticks to the historical sources. The first lecture is about St. Patrick, the second is about St. Columba, the third is about the gift that literacy was to the Irish, and the fourth is about the Irish penitential practices and the Irish penitential literature.

There's a Celtic rule conference at St. Patrick's Anglican Church in Parkersburg, WV this weekend. I think the church also hosts some sort of Celtic rule monastic community, probably all third order.
