  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Pretty soon, in December, when my 2-year contract with Verizon is up, I'm thinking of switching providers. And to also upgrade my phone, as they discontinued Nokia 3285. So, now I'll need to find a phone where I don't have to use an adapter to fit my special headset for my hearing aid. (check out this site: http://www.hatis.com) I like Verizon, but I sure would like to have customized calling plans and to pay for how I want it done. I'm paying $39.99 for 1,000 minute anytime; no roaming, no long distance, and I think I have a couple of extra stuff thrown in.

My question is: Which provider(s) do YOU have, what plans & cost you have with them, and are you happy with them?

Would appreciate your input! :)

For me it's all about the coverage I can get for the money I pay. I'm not a big talker, so I go with smaller plans around $20. There are roaming charges, but long distance is nothing extra. U.S. Cellular was the only provider that covered my area of Wisconsin in all applicable locations well enough.

All in all I think you're getting a pretty good deal there with 1,000 anytime minutes for $39.99, with no roaming or long distance.
