  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I am almost afraid to post. Any Married celibates here?
Usage Note: Historically, celibate means only "unmarried"; its use to mean "abstaining from sexual intercourse" is a 20th-century development.

I haven't researched, so I'm not claiming that you are wrong ... but I would be amazed to learn that it did not include abstinence when used in context of Holy Orders.

As a person who was widowed five months ago and celibacy has been forced on me, I don't understand why a married couple would choose celibacy. Enjoy each other while you are both still here. The day will come when your spouse will be with the Lord and you will be left behind. Treasure each day and don't waste it!

Why would you choose to be celibate? Even though I am not married, being intimate with your spouse SHOULD prevent the need for sexual intercouse OUTSIDE the marriage (cheating).

( It's in one of the scriptures, I read it the other night. Let me get back to you on that. LOL)
