I wonder why they don't remove the celibacy law in place so there wouldn't be so many violations But then it seems that would not help those homosexual/pedophile priests and it seems like there are far more of those cases then man/woman relationships. How can a priest do that to Gods children. The protection of children is obvious in the bible. To me they have broke the cardinal law (not that I know what that is but it seems to fit)and can't be Christians. How can they sanctions their actions and think themselves Christian?
I hope I don't get in trouble for this post

One sure way if they don't eliminate celibacy they could make being a eunuch a must in order to be a priest. That would surely stop it. If their dedication is truly to be a priest then that choice shouldn't bother them.

But by knowing they will HAVE to be celibate in the RCC, this could attract homosexuals and pedophiles that would not marry. There is no choice. In Eastern Orthodoxy it is basically required one marries BEFORE being ordained. If one chooses not to marry and be ordained, one must remain celibate or join the monastics. Candidates are encouraged to wait to be ordained if they are not married.
