I dislike women generally.

When I was a little kid I joined the Lil Rascals He-Man Woman Haters Club. I paid for a lifetime membership, plus I took the oath, and it's not right to break an oath, so, I have to hate women.
Definition of celibacy
This is Websters definition of celibacy. I have noticed a lot lately that persons profile status is one of celibacy. So I have a few questions:
- 1: the state of not being married
- 2a : abstention from sexual intercourse
- b : abstention by vow from marriage
1. What brought you to the point of celibacy?
2. Is it a religious reason or due to life situations or personal convictions?
3. When you choose celibacy is it for life or is it temporary?
4. How do you handle the intimate issues that you feel when they arise if any?
5. IF married, does your partner do the same OR is celibacy NOT included in a marriage? Was there an agreement made?
6. Is celibacy in the bible and if so could you share the scriptures?
7. What has being celibate done for you in a positive way or negative way?
8. If you believe being celibate is not Godly or scriptural pertaining to marriage can you share scripture and why?

Celibacy (definition #2) can be forced on you, within the marriage context, as when your spouse unilaterally decides they no longer wish to share physical intimacy. If you respect your marriage vows the option of finding physical intimacy elsewhere is not available.
You can also have celibacy imposed on you by disease of disability.
So an additional angle to the questions may revolve around whether celibacy is
1. a functional issue - whether or not you want it, you can't physically have sex
2. a matter of the heart in which there is no desire for sexual intimacy but there is also a conviction that it is not for you.
3. an issue of respect - of your own marriage vows, and of your spouse's deliberate choice not to share physical intimacy.
Depending on your definition of "physical intimacy" you may feel that it is not quite the same as "sexual intimacy." Inverting the Chritian young person's question "How far can I go?" we could ask "when is celibacy really celibacy?"
In my case there are several factors. Some of these I simply accept, believing God can use the situation for good. Others have brought a deep sadness, and sorrow in a relationship. The "respect" factor is one of self-discipline, which hopefully will be good for me in the medium to long term. In the short term it has not made the relationship easier to sustain.

For some reason I felt led to reply to this topic. Long ago, a woman at work ask me why was I not married and was I practicing celibacy. My first response was "Do you know that The Lord is a Jealous God? He would not want me to put anything between myself and Him." And then I said, "In a way, I am married, to Him. I do not practice celibacy I just choose to not let anything get between Him and I. She then said," I have never heard a man say anything like that before." I then said, "If per chance I ever get married in the future she would have to be a warrior, and as to date, I have not met one." Fast forward to today and I have no regrets of being single, or walking alone, for The Lord is with me. There is no loneliness or depression or want. His Love fills all things in me. I know I have to be careful out in world for like other men I have a weakness for the woman. Many times when I see a beautiful woman out there, I will hear "She is not for you." Also I know, there is one just waiting for me to make a huge mistake so that these lips can be silenced. And to him I say, sorry, doesn't matter how attractive something may seem at the moment, nothing compares to the beauty that is found in Jesus. Everything we do(chose) in life bears fruit one way or another and my sincere hope is that weather we chose to be celibate, or we chose to be married, we do these things all to the Glory of God. Amen

I can imagine that's very difficult but if medical issues are there, your love for your spouse overrides your issues. In those situations I can't imagine, has to be hard on both of you. Emotionally and physically, that's where strong love is needed to endure.agreed. sometimes celibacy is forced on one partner because of the other partner's medical condition. been there, done that. and no, it's not easy.

What would happen IF WE ALL slowly decided to be celibate, then whose gonna keep the human population going forth, I know thats a far out there kinda question, but for real, if over a period of say 200 years what state of the world would we be in? I mean I know WE ALL are not gonna do that, but Im just curious as to how one gets to this point, not knocking anyone's decision at all, promise ya that!!
Lets all become celibate then yes! I'm down!
Example: what IF you are married, one partner wants to be celibate (for personal reasons) but the other not, now this is gonna be a huge problem for sure (or so I suspect) has anyone here had this issue within marriage? and if so how did you handle it and what was the outcome "if not too personal"?
