Happy Sabbath all.

I'd like to ask that we please STOP with the anti-EGW threads today, on God's holy day, so that we may keep our eyes focused on Christ and dig into His Word.

I came here today hoping for a blessing and I'm not finding it. I'm unable to go to church and I'd like to fellowship.

Can we please stop those discussions, just for today?

It's a distraction to me, a stumblingblock, and I'm asking for a day of peace.

If they want to continue to discredit one of the gifts of the spirit, the spirit of prophecy in particular, then it is their choice to not grow deeper the understanding of the character of God and his Word but rather take a step away from it.

I certainly agree with this. Also, sorry that someone reported you for it. The truth can hurt sometimes. Check out Hebrews 12.

It's just one of those things....apparently, even though I hate to admit it, debating is "mine own pleasure".

Sometimes I love it, and sometimes it just doesn't feel right. This is one of the latter times honestly.

I feel like our eyes are being pulled off of God....our Creator.

I'm not understanding something here. For those sensitive to discussing or debating, why would they even click on the D&D link? Nobody forced them to click it. It was completely their choice. And, just because they feel it is wrong for them to do, doesn't make it wrong for someone else. Where's the liberty?

If you are looking for fellowship only, isn't that what the Traditional area is for? That is supposed to be a 'safehaven' for people of the traditional mindset of Adventism, is it not?

I can see that to you and other Traditional Adventists downplaying Ellen White and her influence in effect takes away from Jesus. Not saying I agree with it but I can see how it makes you feel. However, can you understand that for some people who call themselves Adventists the inordinate amount of reverence given Ellen White takes the focus away from Jesus? That the honor given to Ellen White rightly belongs to Jesus not her.

Are you willing to give these people (Progressive SDAs)the same consideration that you demand of them?

Hmmmm...I didn't know that prophecy was part of the fruit of the spirit....

Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance; against such their is no law.

And I would suggest that the focus continue on through verse 26:

And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Do Traditionals consider Progressives to be fellow brothers and sisters in Christ?
