People see what they want to see and obviously they hear what they want to hear. I posted the results of the fact check but still......He wasn't being sarcastic. Come on man. Read the body language; read the voice intonation; the words. There's nothing sarcastic.
Why do you believe him with this excuse? There are 0 indications of it.
Who is qualified to decide what the President should say or when he should say it.In what world is sarcasm “okay” during a daily-briefing about trying to limit the devastation caused by the (then) ongoing pandemic?
You don’t “brainstorm” on the podium; the time for that is in private with the experts.
The daily briefing wasn’t even “hosted” by the Chairman of the Corona Virus Task Force (Pence), but by the President, to showcase how “on top of it he was”; and he failed, miserably.
Take it up with the fact checker who wrote the article.??why do you ask that , is because I did not mention bleach or alcohol , in particular Lysol and Clorox
Those are often discussed because they put out warnings after Trumps press briefing but they were not particularly relevant to any comments made in the thread
Anyway I will try to rephrase what I said to make it more clear
The president did say the following
"I see the disinfectant that knocks it out in a minute, one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning? "
The article you quote says
"During a coronavirus press briefing, President Trump floated the idea of using disinfectants and sunlight to treat COVID-19 patients"
To improve the article it should say
"During a coronavirus press briefing, President Trump appeared to float the idea of using disinfectants and sunlight by injection to treat COVID-19 patients however later he claimed his comments were sarcastic"
you obviously do not like the way the fact checker wrote his article, now if there were errors in his article I am certain that they would have been pointed out and he would have printed a correction that fact that it did not happen says all that needs to be said. That does not tell me if you were aware the president described his "injection inside" comment as sarcastic when making your previous posts, they don't really seem consistent. What do you mean by the phrase "musing questions" .
that does not clarify what you meant by the phrase "musing question", please clarifyyou obviously do not like the way the fact checker wrote his article, now if there were errors in his article I am certain that they would have been pointed out and he would have printed a correction that fact that it did not happen says all that needs to be said.
People are free to agree or disagree with his musings about injecting disinfectant to cure covid.Who is qualified to decide what the President should say or when he should say it.
I am not qualified to decide what the president should say but don't you agree it would have great if he picked up some humility in church. Proper use of humility would have resulted in more votes in 2020,. because he would not have tried to impress people with some extreme brainstorming in inappropriate forum where people were not expecting it. Also he would not have tried to cover it up with the ridiculous claim he was being sarcastic.Who is qualified to decide what the President should say or when he should say it.
Trump making obvious excuses that are outside of the realm of plausibility is not a "fact check". Fact check is where you'd quote his EXACT words.People see what they want to see and obviously they hear what they want to hear. I posted the results of the fact check but still......
Both of those words can be found in a dictionary.that does not clarify what you meant by the phrase "musing question", please clarify
But they are not free to twist his words in an effort to make it appear that he said something did he did not say, read the fact check I posted.People are free to agree or disagree with his musings about injecting disinfectant to cure covid.
OR if the media was not so eager to twist everything that Trump said he would have nothing to explain but then some people would also have nothing to support their bias.I am not qualified to decide what the president should say but don't you agree it would have great if he picked up some humility in church. Proper use of humility would have resulted in more votes in 2020,. because he would not have tried to impress people with some extreme brainstorming in inappropriate forum where people were not expecting it. You have just made my point, thanksTrump making obvious excuses that are outside of the realm of plausibility is not a "fact check". Fact check is where you'd quote his EXACT words.
I work with the most mentally unwell kids, and have now for over 15 years. The one thing they have ALL had in common is that they say something dark, rude, or hurtful and then AFTER the fact, say "I was just joking" as if that excuses what they say and the circumstances. So Trump saying "I was being sarcastic" fits in really well with all those kids I've seen.
Strangely every single one those kids (since 2016 anyways) have thought he was a total goof.
Yeah, it is weird that some posts keep trying to come up with excuses for why he didn't actually say what he said, the post you referenced included. But they are not free to twist his words in an effort to make it appear that he said something did he did not say, read the fact check I posted.
Rest assured I have not. "People see what they want to see"?You have just made my point, thanks
If you watched right wing media like Fox news it was a common tactic to claim everyone that anyone attacking Trumps remark that "disinfectant knocks it out in a minute.... can we do something like that by injection inside" was repeating a myth that "the president demanded people inject bleach. "Yeah, it is weird that some posts keep trying to come up with excuses for why he didn't actually say what he said, the post you referenced included.
and just as weird is the fact that some people keep insisting even after it has been clearly refuted, that he said something that he did not sayYeah, it is weird that some posts keep trying to come up with excuses for why he didn't actually say what he said, the post you referenced included.
I ignore things that have proven to be false inventions of the media.Rest assured I have not. "People see what they want to see"?
How many times have Trump critics quoted the "reject the evidence of your eyes and ears" quotes? It's not because it's fun but because you ignore his actions and words.
I have never presumed to set myself up as an authority on when, where, or what the President should do to conduct his office. I can disagree but I would have to have a real ego to consider myself an authority and pretend to tell the president what is appropriateYou’ve never disagreed with anything any President has said?
Huh.
I guess you'd have to take it up with them whenever you start talking to them.and just as weird is the fact that some people keep insisting even after it has been clearly refuted, that he said something that he did not say
