So I recently graduated from college (yay me!) and a couple of friends and I suddenly noticed we don't know where we belong in ministry. Many of the churches we attend have college ministries that we don't feel cater to recent graduates and some won't let you attend singles ministries until you are at least 25. While I love women's ministry I enjoy co-ed events and festivities. Does anybody know how this feels? Or are we alone? Got any advice?

Have you asked God? What did he say?

I'm being completely serious. I am going off to school to learn how to further the gospel in a few weeks, but my church had offered me a position to help spread the gospel a few months back. They wanted me to go to school and come back afterward to work in the community. I prayed about it, and God made it very clear that I should not take the job, so I told them that. Last week, they asked me again. Once again, I prayed about it, and God made it clear again that I should not take it (how he puts up with me, I'll never know). The job they were offering me was everything that I could have hoped for: a good first job in the ministry, proximity to my family and girlfriend, being among my own church family, and sufficient pay as well as room and board. But if God doesn't want me to take it, then what can I say?

Pray about it, and trust that God will answer you in a way that you will hear him. He knows what you listen to and how best to communicate to you.

Don't give up on Church, you are in a wonderful position as a fellow alien amongst the brethren..... my church singles is 30 and up..... beneath that is College and Careers.... but I'm the oldest one in there average age is 23.... that's a 4 year gap and they are all either married or dating each other... leaving me a total outsider.....
but you can look around at other churches and see what they are doing for people your age.... and maybe this is God's way of saying.... I had you in that fellowship for that time, now it's time to trust me and fly on to the next place I have for your life... or it could be a lesson in trusting and patience.... pray about it, study the word, seek Godly Council from someone... preferable impartial to you moving on...(in real life, internet you don't know who's truly Godly council and who's just babbling) and then make a decision.....
