Cats and Dogs

What do we live for? To just lie around and read the Bible and pray and be bipolar? Is that all life is for us who have no energy and social anxiety?

But look at cats and dogs. What do they do? Not much as far as being functional (nevermind seeing eye dogs etc.). They are there for the enjoyment of their owner.

I'd like to think that's how it is with some of us and God. Personally I have a hard time believing it but hopefully am coming around.

How about some Scripture that supports this? I'm too tired to think of any right now.

I get in that same situation. I have a hard time getting out for several reasons. But I truly believe that God is pleased when His children draw near to Him, in prayer and by studying his word.

We also might have spiritual gifts we are not aware of. Perhaps just taking time to communicate with each other on these boards can be a form of ministry for all of us.

But here are some verses I thought of when I read your post.

God created us to walk with him. he placed us in a place of honor, both in the garden of Eden, and when His love covered our sins with His life on the cross. God made us the first fruits of creation. someday we will even judge angels. our lives are full of purpose. pray and ask God to open up your life with purpose. the scriptures that tell this, are the whole bible. we learn more with spiritual growth.
