To all catholics, please do not post in this forum, anything, for a while. It is simply to hot right now. Maybe it would be a good idea to have a specific dialogue forum for catholic and baptists, but it is pretty clear baptists in this forum are feeling a bit pressed by us...

I rather enjoy answering questions by catholics. Baptist are an unusual breed when it comes to Christianity.

I have no problem with having dialogue with Catholics, or other groups, for that matter. If you're a child of God, you're my brother or sister, and I love you.

However, I don't think it's a good idea for people of different faith traditions to walk into a forum and start posting stuff to point out the differences in beliefs. (Same as if a Baptist walked into the Catholic forum and did the same thing--I just don't see anything good coming of it.).

We believe some different things. We just do. And we are all passionate about what we believe (this is a good thing!).

I just think that if we're going to post in eachother's forums, we need to post fellowship-type threads and not belief based threads. We are not going to be united in every aspect of our beliefs, but one day we will be fellowshipping together in heaven and it wouldn't hurt to start practicing now! :)

I was just about to write that no one from our forum should tell caths not to post here, then I realized that it was a cath who made the request. I'm sure your intentions are good, but I continue to welcome caths here for *respectful* dialogue and interaction. I am learning a lot.
I am concerned that anyone would come here, see the subject heading that says "Catholics please do not post here" and think that it is the baptists telling them to "stay off our turf." (since the subject heading doesn't show who the original poster was).

Ditto.

The title is not very charitable sounding.
