I came across this link in another subforum and thought I would share it both here and in the original SDA forum. What do you think?

"THE hierarchy of the Roman Catholic Church has published a teaching document instructing the faithful that some parts of the Bible are not actually true.

NI_MPU('middle');The Catholic bishops of England, Wales and Scotland are warning their five million worshippers, as well as any others drawn to the study of scripture, that they should not expect “total accuracy” from the Bible. “We should not expect to find in Scripture full scientific accuracy or complete historical precision,” they say in The Gift of Scripture ..."

Yah 1 example is like in Leviticus and all those laws. can you imagine if we had to bring sin offering to the alter . There would be no goats doves no nothing left in my city. possibly if GOD let us sacrifice pigeons then they would hold us filthy sinners for awhile. Thank you Jesus

I read somewhere they've dropped the book of revelation. I find it rather ironic that revelation is one of the ones dropped. ;) Its also rather funny that the scripture posted from revelation thats "untrue" was one that referred to the beast. ;)

You may be thinking of Martin Luther. The Catholic Church has never dropped the book of Revelation.

Also, for clarification, a small handfull of bishops do not represent the Church, even though this article makes it out to be.

Come one that is one mans opinion and its trying to control everyone elses belief. I don't care what science says, nothing is ever a fact unless you are there, many people saw Jesus and still refused to beleive in him and they tried to take people out of beliveing and look what happened. We all have questions and we all have doubts, but you should never tell people that a portion of the Bible is incorrect.

You think this world knows what their talking about? When I was in the 6th grade they said man came from water and something in the sky, by the time I got to highschool their story changed and said we came from apes. I don't know about you but I don't trust books that change every 4 years. These people are perfect example of those that only read the bible to criticize it instead of actually learning something.
