CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hey AirForceTeacher,
My son is an Air Force officer and loves cats also. He is stationed at Little Rock AFB in Little Rock Arkansas.
I took care of his cat for 7 years while he was finishing college, waiting to get into OCS, graduating, met a young lady, got married, went over seas, had a baby.
That cat was something else. He knew when my son left the US to go over seas. During the time my son was overseas the cat would sleep in my son's old bedroom everynight he stayed in the house. He was an indoor/outdoor cat.
At that time my son was stationed in Dyess AFB. For the last 3 years I had the cat, my son went overseas 3 times from Texas. I was in Virginia. Each time my son went overseas the cat would sleep in his old room when he was in the house at night. When my son returned home, to Texas, the cat stopped sleeping in his room.
Smart cat he was. He was put to sleep because he had cancer at Thanksgiving 2005. I sent the cat to my son when I moved from VA to NV in 2002.
Just want to tell you thanks for serving in the military. I support them. After all my son is one of you.

My new kitty who is coming home to me soon
I want my kitty back from my ex, but i don't want to pay a pet deposit here because I'm moving in June. Mine is the first cat pic in the thread - the one of him holding my book.
