Cat wins Guinness World Record for longest tail

A fine looking feline was awarded a Guinness World Record for having the longest tail.

The silver Maine Coon from Minnesota sports a tail measuring 18.5 inches (46.99 cm)— beating out all living domestic cats—and easily surpassing the previous record-holder that measured 16.07 inches.

The two-year-old named Mr. Pugsley Addams, after the Addams Family character, has always had a long tail, according to his owner, Amanda Cameron.

So adorable, but having grown up with some fuzzy Persian felines of our own I know well how those furballs get annoyed at someone stepping even on the furry parts of their tails. Can only imagine what it must be like for Pugsley!

I would certainly hope so! :cat: One of our Persians with a long-ish tail had a clever little way of wrapping the tail around his back legs, like a hose. He'd been annoyed by all the little kids obliviously whomping and stomping on his tail I'm sure, so he figured out a sweetly discrete way of protecting it. :D

We just got adopted by a Hemingway cat. Took him to our animal org. And got him neutered. It was rough for him because he had complications. Now he is hopping on the golf cart with me to garden. :)
