Back up the sarcasm with some common sense. If I KNEW it was going to pop on screen I would have. By the time I found the rmote it was 2 commercials later.Yes you were, there are numerous buttons on your remote that give you the choice to watch or not watch anything you like. May I suggest the power button or the channel up/down button?
That's like a minute and half though and were your children crying and talking about feeling scarred? How are they today? I think if they got up in the morning went to school and they are fine as can be, it's obvious it was an overreaction. If they understood it, they've already heard worse at school from friends.elginX said:Back up the sarcasm with some common sense. If I KNEW it was going to pop on screen I would have. I don't even know what it is, but now I'm going to eat there because all the people are getting their shirts up in a bunch over nothing.HazyRigby said:Honestly. If you're THAT concerned about your children's viewing habits, then cancel your cable television. Watch only videos, or (here's a novel thought) don't watch anything at all.
And for all of you who've never heard of Carl's Jr.: It's the same thing as Hardee's. Same big yellow star and horrible color scheme and everything.

You'll have a tough time with that considering most U.S. businesses are in the gutter, and if not in their ad campaigns, then in their conduct. Though I would just not eat there because fast food isn't the most nutritious meal. Can't remember the last time I set foot in one.swifteagle said:I believe we have an obligation to resist the things that are contrary to the Lord...
Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.
Rom 12:9
You don't have to be a mature Christian to realize that the ad campaign is in the gutter. So, how do we resist this work of darkness? Well, I started by emailing Carl's Jr. and telling them I won't be buying at their establishment ~ and I won't. Some people will choose to turn off their TVs and some will use the clicker when the commercials airs. Let the Lord direct their steps.
We resist, resist, resist!!!! We need a Jesus Culture not a Carl's Culture!

Well I have no problem with boycotts, my attitude is they didn't get my money, so that good enough for me.swifteagle said:Well, yes, you are right about that. Does that make me less obligated to resist that which the Lord directs me to resist? Not at all! I resist in what He brings to my attention, confident that He directs others in the same way but maybe to different things.
Bless you for your response!!
