  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

A neighbor of ours, a wonderful man named Ken, has been fighting cancer in one form or another for years.  Now it seems to have spread to where there is no hope.  But being Christians, we believe in hope.  I ask for prayers for him.  That he will either be healed, or that God will give him the strength and peace that only He can give to us.

And I want to say, that although I'm hardly on this forum anymore, I do pray for "everyone on the messageboards, especially those who have asked for prayer."  God bless you all.

I want to thank you all for your prayers.  I have an update that isn't good.  Yesterday we found out that Ken has a very rare form of cancer in the lining of his lungs.  There is a new procedure, but only 15 of these have been performed, and not one of the patients lived.  Ken declined to have it, and I don't blame him.

His spirits are low now.  The doctor said he could die in two weeks or a month.  (of course, they don't really know!)  But it's bad.  I'm still praying for a miracle, but also for Ken to have peace.  And for his family.  Please pray for them all.  Ken is in his late 70's, but has always been vibrant, even fighting this cancer for so long.  His family is devastated.  Please pray they have the strength to go through whatever is in store, and that their faith will only be strengthened.
