Hey everyone - I'm a Nova Scotian, going to college in Maryland. I'm just wondering if there's anyone else in the same situation, and what your thoughts are on life as an alien.

i'm also an "alien" here on american soil!
i'm originally from vancouver, bc. i actually drove through maryland this past saturday - spend the day in DC with my cousin. which college in maryland are you attending? a good friend of mine is currently working on her Ph.D at John Hopkins. i'm living in camden, nj - which is just across the delaware river from philadelphia. i've been living her for about 4 years and am currently working as an adoption social worker in philly. i'm hoping to start graduate school this coming september and so i have to sort out the whole student visa thing. you're actually a great resource for me because i have a ton of questions with regards to how to attain one. btw, you have an interesting name - are you Indian per chance?
