Canaanite Reconstructionism

I have a lot of admiration for people who work hard at Reconstructing the ancient religions as it requires meticulous research, dedication, organization and discipline to collect useful information into a working body from which to restore a religion and culture. I'm a pagan but I don't subscribe to a recon faith, I just find them very interesting. What do you guys think? All are welcome to reply (a wide variety of responses is always nice) but I'm interested in what other pagans think since non-pagans, in my experience, are not as interested in these sorts of things.
