Hi,
So a few years ago I remember reading a great book by a Catholic author about how to discern the voice of God. I cannot recall the title or the author and I was hoping maybe to get some help here. In the book the author talked about how during prayer when we are intensely focused on Christ in prayer, it is likened to soaring on a bird (??) of some sort (not sure what sort of bird was mentioned). He continued to explain that after we end our prayer time and disconnect (so to speak) from the direct connection, we still feel the soaring effects that we felt during prayer but that it is likened to the descent back to our everyday living experiences. The author explained that it is during that time that Satan will try to deceive us hoping that we may think we are hearing God's voice. The author said to be on the lookout for the tail of the snake to make its appearance after a truly powerful spiritual connection to be able to discern the voice we hear.
So, does this sound familiar to anyone here?? I wish I could remember something about the title or author's name.
Thanks!!!
