Hello everyone...
I'm not a native English speaker (I'm from Brazil!), but a friend of mine asked me if I could translate the abstract of her final research into English. So I did, but as a non-native speaker I'm asking you guys for a favor if you can find any grammar/spelling/"doesn't sound good"/whatever errors in this text!
This is it:
ABSTRACT

The following research consists of a special view unto the visual impairment, particularly unto acquired blindness. Concernment upon this theme comes from the need of a more profound study of the longings, expectations and capabilities of the blind people, those who we meet in a day-to-day basis but cannot support; we are not really able to live together with them, respecting them according to their limitations and potentialities. Therefore, the goal of this survey is to study how people with acquired blindness arrange their psychological functions to reach autonomy and social insertion. Grounded on that, we seek subsides to understand the rehabilitation and readaptation process of the people who lose their sight during a certain time of their lives. We have chosen the qualitative research method for this study, including a case study. The analysis started over the crossing of the research sources, consisting of of interviews with acquired blindness patients and their relatives, which made possible a collation with the surveyed authors. The theoretical foundation of this research is centered on the approach of Thomas J. Carrol, Elcie F. Salzano Masini and Elizabet Dias de Sá. The conclusion presents a few answers to the conducting questions, aforementioned in the outset of this research, as well as new challenges concerning new ways of apprenticheship on the subject matter.
