Any reasonable person can look at a birther/truther/illuminati thread and say "yes, this is crazy."

Also, we're starting to get ones now about the marathon bombing.

It'd be nice if the mods could give a yes or no, rather than just ignoring this. I mean, we have a thread for makeup tips; can't we get one for this?

Do you know who started the truth movement regarding 9/11?

The victims.

Do you know why they started the truth movement?

Because no one was giving them straight answers.

Do you know who started calling people wild conspiracy theorists?

The very officials who would not answer victims questions.

Do you know who were the first to be called wild conspiracy theorists?

The victims...that's where it all started.

Out of respect for those who lost their lives on 9/11 and the victims they left behind...the truth about 9/11 began to be investigated outside of government circles by the victims. They have since gained tremendous support and have amassed insurmountable evidence from thousands of supporters that does more than indicate liability against those who compiled the official report.

Over 1500 of these supporters are professionals, some of whom are commended as the top professionals in their field. These people have sacrificed their own reputations to get answers that the NIST did not provide and blatantly lied about. Yet all these people and many more are all labeled as wild conspiracy theorists and many other derogatory names simply because they had doubts and asked questions. Why would anyone not want to know the truth, especially those who lost loved ones?

Since 9/11, the term conspiracy theory has been taken completely out of context and has adopted a derogatory meaning. It's like quantum theory all of a sudden becoming a derogatory term because someone questioned the findings of a proposed theory. It makes no sense at all.

Out of respect for the victims, maybe those who have followed the Pied Piper since day one should revisit the evidence that has been compiled by these professionals instead of spending so much time putting them down for the countless hours they have spent helping the victims get answers.

Perhaps instead...you might suggest a controversial topics forum as other forums have done.
