I changed the title, thanks for the feedback.What do you mean by "should"?
I'll tip my pitch a little here, since 150 views, 1 response.Be blessed.
The focus of the OP topic is receiving from the Lord a more personal word for someone, andI believe it was for the Apostles who wrote about our future in John's, Peter's and Paul's epistles/letters and Jude's.
hope this helps !!!
I don't quite agree with this statement, as the entire Bible contains prophetic foreknowledge.Prophetic foreknowledge was rare in both Testament's.
Then maybe you and I have a different view on the bible and foreknowledge. Here is what I mean by foreknowledge.The focus of the OP topic is receiving from the Lord a more personal word for someone, and
the immediate fellowship of saints.
1 Corinthians 12:
7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:
8 for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge
through the same Spirit.
Receiving from the Lord in response to prayers will often be foreknowledge, even as David
enquired of the Lord and received assurances of success. The Holy Spirit is our Holy Oracle.
John 16:13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth;
for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and
He will tell you things to come.

I don't quite agree with this statement, as the entire Bible contains prophetic foreknowledge.
For example:
Genesis 2:
16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat;
17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it
you shall surely die. Bummer place to start.
Noah Got The Heads Up
Genesis 6:13 And God said to Noah, The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled
with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth. Anudder Bummer
Genesis 12:
2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you
And make your name great; and you shall be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed. Yeah, Good News!
I could do this all night, but I think you get my point. I just felt you didn't think that one
through very well before you wrote it. Gimme some love!
Then maybe you and I have a different view on the bible and foreknowledge. Here is what I mean by foreknowledge.
I do not believe I can know future events(foreknowledge) that have yet to occur that are not already foretold in Scripture. I believe that ceased with the canon of Scripture and our 66 books.No disagreement at all on what foreknowledge is, or that God has a perfect foreknowledge. Again,
the OP asks "Can Those Born Of God Receive Foreknowledge." You are defining it, but did people
receive it in the Bible? It is as you have stated. Knowing this, do believer's today seek such things from
God as David did? Do they enquire of the Lord? Do they receive what God freely gives? Are you
understanding the words that are coming out of my mouth? Your responses suggest otherwise.
Why pray? You seem to be locked into "future prophetic events",I do not believe I can know future events(foreknowledge) that have yet to occur that are not already foretold in Scripture. I believe that ceased with the canon of Scripture and our 66 books.
hope this helps !!!
Perhaps "foreknowledge" is the wrong word for what you want to discuss here?Any thoughts?
Any scriptures!
Complete unscriptural nonsensePerhaps "foreknowledge" is the wrong word for what you want to discuss here?
You were posting about the spiritual gifts (manifestations of the Spirit) of a word of knowledge and a word of wisdom.
I have received what we call prophecies from many people. (1 Corinthians 14:3)
As I understand it, the prophet (person that receives the prophecy) gets a partial message, like a puzzle piece. They typically know who it is for, but don't know what it means. However, it will have meaning to the person receiving the prophecy. The prophet is obedient in delivering the message even though they don't know what it means. That is my understanding of prophecy today. Sometimes they seem meaningless and other times they are mind-blowing.
