Can the devil cause dreams?

Can the devil cause disturbing, confusing, or misleading dreams that lead to doubt and despair?

Can he do this more than once, or would the second dream confirm that the first dream was of God?

The devil will input anger, bitterness, jealousy beyond extreme, hate, darkness, everything opposite of God. What are your dreams about? God's Holy spirit will leave a answer. You need to search and ask Him.

If you have doubt and dispair in your waking life, the dreams reflect your current mental state and are not from the enemy. If your are walking on a solid grounded foundation with God, making headway by actively ministering to others, and have joy and peace in your life, then these dreams could be from the enemy to pull you down or throw you off the track.

A dream comes because of approval. A nightmare comes because of disapproval.

It is that simple.

To answer your question, the Devil desires only disapproval.

But as humblewatchman points out, you may be introducing your own confusion because of doubt (that you yourself should be able to address).

Michael, you ask a truly very good and important question:
There are a lot of young people, babes in Christ on here and they are truly and serious being mislead. The Lord does not take kindly to people leading his babes astray. We read in the bible in Ezekiel34 concerning such and through out I speak the truth in Christ and it is the Lord who reveals to His servants. We must obey and allow Him to lead and guide us into ALL of His truth. We are living in such serious times, yet awesome times with the Lord.

YES, the enemy can ONLY do what He is given permission. He can not do anything without the Lords permission. YES, he is and can be allowed to bring twisted, demonic dreams forth. He is also a DECEIVER. He can appear to make the dreams seem of the Lord because you see He mocks everything the Lord and the Holy Spirit do. Just like gold dust- that is from the enemy. You never hear of the Lord speaking of fairy dust- gold dust, etc... in the bible, yet people fall for it. God is Holy and He is pure, He is the righteous Judge, a holy judge everything is white and bright, clean and pure and HOLY!


I have also noticed that when the Lord is sharpening someone, raising them up, he will allow this to be. It is called discerning of Spirits. We are to test and to try the Spirits, to discern to see whether they are from God or not.
To see young people in Christ receiving correction and warning dreams is of God, but one must have discernment to see and to know, know, know the difference by and through the Holy Spirit.

Last night I was shown someone possibly two people on here practicing such- witchcraft, when I woke up I was angered and righteously so, at what I had been shown. You dont mess with Gods babes, servants, and think the Lord doesnt see.

God gives, truly gives correction and warning dreams. WHY?? BECAUSE He
loves His children, sons and daughters.

However the enemy is fighting to take as many with him as he can. The Lord shall prevail and not one sheep shall be lost. He will gather every last precious sheep into His sheepfold. You dont play games, especially evil wicked games of witch-craft on a people the Lord has His heart/eyes set upon.

I had an appt. today and a very long drive ahead of me. As I pondered on what the Holy Spirit had been showing me.

I also thought about how doors can also be opened to the enemy. Whether it be pornography, drug addictions, actually lots of things. I than thought about in Gods word how He speaks to us concerning our houses being SWEPT CLEAN. That means sweeping all the time, keeping our houses clean so that we may a vessel for the Lords good purposes.

When you go and open unclean doors than any of us can allow the enemy to get a foothold.

After I thought on the above I was just asking the Lord to show me , show me Lord you have babes on here. You love them so. The enemy is also here and more so because of the babes and the youth. Sowing and reaping lies and deception into the dreams and visions of others God is dealing with chastizing them, warning them or encouraging them in their walk because He so loves them.I dont believe dreams and visions should be taken lightly. It is the Lord communicating to us. Just like His precious word and also we have been given the Holy Spirit. We should always desire for the Lord to clean every area of our life up.

The Lord said in His word that many would fall away, turn away for another.
Another gospel, the world, another idol, another false image of who Christ our Lord really and truly is.

The Lord will snatch them out of the enemies grasp and the Lord will Prevail, I praise God that He is Victor and He is Lord and He is the KING and there is no other God but He.

After my appt. driving home, again my thoughts returned to here and I was given a vision. I saw a young man he was holding a little piece of paper in his hand. He was standing over a candle and holding the paper over it.
I knew by revelation given forth by and through the Holy Spirit it was dreams and the things being shared forth from here. He was burning them and setting them on fire. He was chanting, speaking over them as he stood over the candle with each piece of paper he would repeat himself. I did not hear the words nor do I know what He was saying, it was as in a chant. there was NO LIFE in the young man. All that surrounded him was darkness.
The room was dark with only the light from the candle. This is witch-craft, indeed. Please seek the Lord and please pray concerning such. Thank you~
