Can someone who is not saved be anointed?

Sorry if this is in the wrong thread, but I was wondering if someone who is not a Christian sings in church, can the members feel the holy spirit move while that person singing? When I go to church and hear the singing, I feel a peace come over me. I feel the holy spirit moving while the song is being played. Could that be possible to come from someone who is singing, yet have not confessed their sin to Christ?

Oh yes, it is entirely possible.
but what the person who is communing in the Holy Spirit will hear is the dis harmony coming from the person who is not in the Holy Spirit.

Music conveys a feeling, an emotion no matter who plays it.

Welcome CF. When I listen to some opera singers I am moved to tears by the beauty of their voice. This could also happen when hearing a beautiful voice singing a Christian song. That being said, the Father makes His Home in us. We walk with His Holy Spirit daily because He dwells in us. Emotional responses to outside stimuli such as music does not anoint nor is it an anointing. The annointed are those who are in the Body of Christ , one who is set apart, empowered and protected. Blessings

I think God finds songs of worship of Him sung by those in sinful rebellion to Him enormously offensive. A stench in His nostrils. Does this mean that you can't be moved emotionally by a nicely-sung worship song performed by a God-hater? No. But the idea that God would honor such near-blasphemous hypocrisy by acting in concert with it to touch peoples' hearts seems unlikely.

I have no idea what you mean by "feel the Holy Spirit moving." If the Holy Spirit "comes upon" a person or group of people the first indicator of this is usually a sense of deep conviction of sin. Not a warm fuzzy, or heightened emotions, or wild behavior, but a keen awareness of the incredible holiness of God, of one's deep sinfulness and the need to be cleansed of its awful stain and made right with God.

Well, there is this:

After all this, when Josiah had set the temple in order, Neco king of Egypt came up to make war at Carchemish on the Euphrates, and Josiah went out to engage him.

But Neco sent messengers to him, saying, "What have we to do with each other, O King of Judah? I am not coming against you today but against the house with which I am at war, and God has ordered me to hurry. Stop for your own sake from interfering with God who is with me, so that He will not destroy you."

However, Josiah would not turn away from him, but disguised himself in order to make war with him; nor did he listen to the words of Neco from the mouth of God, but came to make war on the plain of Megiddo. The archers shot King Josiah, and the king said to his servants, "Take me away, for I am badly wounded." So his servants took him out of the chariot and carried him in the second chariot which he had, and brought him to Jerusalem where he died and was buried in the tombs of his fathers.
-- II Chronicles 35

It's certainly not impossible for God to use the lips of an unbeliever to espouse His will.
