• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Can someone fill me in on this forum?

Hi there all! Just a quick question. In what way is this section, Questions by Non-Christians, different from the General Apologetics section please?

I'm not allowed to post in the GA until I have enough of a posting record. This secton caught my eye, and t looks just as interesting.

This section is mainly for non-christians to ask sincere questions and to be answered by christians only. You can ask any question regarding christianity, but you can't debate them. This is just a question/answer forum...not for debating the answer because that's what GA is for. GA is for anybody to interact and debate christianity. But if you truly want a "christian" response then it would be better to ask here.

Welcome aboard Interested.

Only seekers/non-christians are allowed to start threads in this area and only Christians are allowed to post answers in that thread. No seeker is permited to answer another seekers question. And no Christian is allowed to engage in debatinging other Christians answers in the thread.

So if you have a question. Or a topic you want answered just start a thread.

General Apologetics is a scary, scary place.

You can PM (private message) people you run across in GA...even ask them if they'd participate in a discussion here.

I know that the rules can seem cumbersome and restrictive, but I've seen some slip-ups that were harmful to both parties... it's just safer to have some guidelines and work within them. Some CF members start their own forums, too... can't think of urls offhand... the smaller forums probably have more flexibility.

it specifically answers non-belivers questions. some time there are inter-denomiantional answers like baptist to methodist. some times it is a place to chat. this is a specific place for people who are non-belivers to ask with out feeling out of place or confused
