You don't have to be a Trump supporter (and I am certainly not) to think that's a lie. Trump proposed a question during a news conference to his advisors, wondering whether injecting disinfectant might be helpful when used against COVID.

Obviously, it was an incredibly stupid idea, but at no time did he call for people to inject or ingest disinfectants. He was just exploring the idea.

During COVID my dentist made patients gargle with peroxide for 15 seconds and spit out...so perhaps in a very limited way gargling with "bleach" peroxide could disinfect--certainly not cure COVID.

See, to me the thing was “you don’t ‘brainstorm’ at a press conference!”
Explore the ideas in private then use the press conference to tell us what has been “decided”.

The “maybe we could get disinfectants in the body?” briefing was the last one…they stopped after this.

I don't get the difference I would call Biden a corpse, I would say his cheese has fallen of his cracker, I would say he proudly claimed he was the best man to beat Reagan in 2024 none of these statements are literally true, but they are not lies

What it boils down to is that the tribes like putting makeup on their pigs to make their pig prettier. They are still pigs!

Looks like everyone's idea including Biden that Trump is a "convicted felon, is premature, perhaps even a lie. This lawyer shows that "conviction" only only happens after sentencing.

"Despite media reports, Rubenfeld insisted that it's "not true" that Trump is already a "convicted felon," arguing that one is "not a convicted felon because of a jury verdict."
"You are not convicted until the judge enters that judgment of guilt. Now, in New York, it's very likely that Judge Merchan will enter that judgment of guilt against Trump on the same day that he issues sentencing. That'd be July 11th."

I am not saying Trump did not lie in the debate, nor am I defending him. My point is that we should be more careful with our judgment. I think too often one has to know the intent of the heart since words have so many potential meanings.

Suppose I ask you, Did you sleep in your bedroom last night? Most would just casually answer that. However, are you sure?

In the USA to be called a bedroom the size, ceiling height, and window opening size must meet legal requirements to be called a bedroom. What Qualifies As A Bedroom?
Likely some may have lied to themselves that they even have a bedroom. Or what about a bathroom, that has no bath? Is it a lie to call it that?

The part of the debate I disliked was the hate. No shaking of hands and too much personal judgments that really are in the past. For instance: Biden saying Trump "...had sex with a porn star." Trump does seem to lie here saying he did not. However, to be sure Stormy needed to be famous in the eyes of Trump. I fortunately never heard of her in 2007, but likely she was famous to Trump. But what about "star." Here is one definition of "star."
"Stars are stars, certainly, because they sparkle and shine—because, even when they are bathed in the limelight, they seem to have an incandescence of their own. But they are “stars,” much more specifically, because they are part of Western culture's longstanding tendency to associate the human with the heavenly." https://www.theatlantic.com/entertainment/archive/2017/02/why-are-celebrities-known-as-stars/517674/

Based on that definition and I would think most if not all others, there should be no such thing as a porn "star" to any Christian. Porn acting can never be heavenly either in the sky or in the spiritual heavens. There is no porn "star" on the Hollywood walk of fame. Sadly, we have allowed the word star to be associated with porn, when in fact calling someone a Porn Star is a lie.

Here is a biblical example to consider.
1 Timothy 6:10, which states: “For the love of money is the root of all evil.”

Is it? Many think this statement is hyperbole, an exaggeration. Are lusts about money? If so how?
Digging deeper here is a possible translation for "the love of money"
Philarguría may be regarded as a type of pleonexía <G4124>, covetousness.
Complete Word Study Dictionary

So you covet beauty and lust is the result the scripture is not an exaggeration? Some say vandalism would not be about the love of money. I would disagree. The rebellion is there because one covets, is entirely likely. A hate crime against another race? Do you covet your whiteness (blackness) too much that you have to act out perhaps?
So whether it is hyperbole as some think or includes the notion of covetousness, it is very hard to tell.

Here is another example of words and their meaning from former President Clinton on whether he answered truthfully about his relationship with Monica Lewinsky

Contending his statement that "there's nothing going on between us" had been truthful because he had no ongoing relationship with Lewinsky at the time he was questioned, Clinton said, "It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is. If the—if he—if 'is' means is and never has been, that is not—that is one thing. Impeachment of Bill Clinton - Wikipedia:

We should remember that God is the ultimate judge.
And whether or not six judges gave Trump a get out of jail free card for the numerous and heinous crimes he has been convicted of and indicted for I will form my belief on God's law as written in Jesus's two great commandments, the Beatitudes, and the ten commandments.
Being given a pass by judges whom you appointed (3) and who have openly accepted millions in "gifts" and flown treasonous flags (2) in no way means he is even 1% innocent.

I don't think referring to Trump as a convicted felon based on the Hush money Trial verdict is particularly "fair" but the vast majority of people discussing politics do not have high standards.

I am so glad someone can at least acknowledge that it was a stupid idea....typical of what goes on in his head. And people want him President.

My guess is that since Jarrod was getting credit for "out of the box" thinking for his "Peace and Prosperity" middle east peace plan So Trump Trialed something that he thought may have made his supporters praise him for being a supporter of "out of the box" thinking , He actually seems to try things all the time to see what resonates.

It was actually the doctors who brought up that bleach killed COVID in saliva. Kicking around ideas is smart, not stupid. Trump ultimately came up with Operation Warp Speed that virtually everyone said couldn't be done. Trump saved a lot of lives.

A lie is Trump raising his hand and saying...

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

Mein Kampf was 720 pages long.
“Project 2025” is 920 pages long.

Brought to you by... "Not in MY church - thanks!"

Good luck America.

No. some ideas are simply stupid. And he has plenty of them.

Operation Warp Speed was a public–private partnership. Too bad even Trump could not convince the anti-vaxxers
