i dont see why one couldnt.. i think thats a very beautiful thing you want to do for another...
...but id get proper advice on best way to do this & what it involves..
this may sound like silly question.. but everytime i try fast , its like i get attacked from every direction.. its like my weaknesses & temptations all surface.. im just wondering if you are doing it for someone else ... would you get their temptations thrown at you??? i wonder what is really involved..

Generally such would be good and acceptable .

A few exceptions could occur , like our prayer not being in line with God's will , or it not being The Lord's will that we intercede on certain someone's behalf - but otherwise , such is a good thing !

As far as others temptations coming your way , such is more likely to occur , when we spend time with someone who is being led the wrong way , rather than when we privately spend time in prayer and fasting for them .

Fasting with prayer for others is sound doctrine. I have experienced spiritual attack when I do this but there is always a breakthru for the person you are fasting for.
Go for it and be expectant. Sometimes are prayers are more powerful when we are fasting. (more precise, more Spirit led prayer)
