Well.... I haven't posted enough to be allowed to link to an external site. But... let's just say.... if you were to type 'christianmusic.org' into google... you'd come up with a pretty good site with links to several other sites. One of which is an 'Artists Directory'.... which includes Petra.

Try my site...I have comparisons to secular bands.

Petra's been around for awhile but they're not typical of the average Christian rock group...they have a sound that is painfully reminiscent of the 1980's hair bands.

If you're curious about better Christian groups you can check out Building 429, or Kutless. Strange Celebrity is really good too. If you like groups like Slipknot, check out Lucerin Blue...They are total thrash!

Ok, let's see.... Petra started back in the mid-late 1970's one of the first "Christian Rock" bands around at the time. They've been through some changes over the years, some of the members leaving, new ones coming in and so on. But thier mess has stayed the same over all these years.

Granted, with the styles of music changing they really haven't been keeping up as much as they should, but they have gotten some new people and hopefully they'll be catching up with the times.

God Bless.
