The development of lactose tolerance in humans is primarily due to a genetic mutation known as lactase persistence.
You don't think that lactose tolerance was caused by a mutation?
We seem to be going back and forth on this. Like I said before, biologic evolution is defined as a change in the frequency of alleles in a population of organisms over time/generations. You have to have a population of living organisms. The population has DNA. There's your sequence.“The sequences were already in order from the parents' DNA”
Really now, tell me something else that not everyone in the world already knows.
So the sequence just appeared one day out of thin air? How did the nucleotides get arranged to begin with?
You don't think that lactose tolerance was caused by a mutation?
How do you know that?
So you don't know, you just have the audacity to define "perfection" for God.Because they were created perfect.
And don't forget:
Much later on, God calls the Promised Land, "the land of milk and honey."
So you don't know, you just have the audacity to define "perfection" for God.
If you read the content of the OP it is styled with genuine curiosity and the implication of an open mind. Most subsequent posts by the author lack any of those positive characteristics. Occam's razor would suggest the OP was insincere.Doesn't matter. His rhetorical questions have descended into just improvisation.. Our esteemed colleague Thurston came in here with what he thought was a "gotcha" which would instantly demolish the theory of evolution. Now that he is getting the idea that it won't work he's afraid to pull the trigger.
The trick is to see if you can answerIs there a point to all this? Do you think you are asking a trick question? What's the trick supposed to be?
There are many different types of eyes, produced by different sequences of mutations. Moths, flies, squid, mammals and jellyfish have different types of eyes, which evolved independently. So you can’t tell me about the fact that just the correct mutations had to occur in just the right order? It was just bound to happen? Only an atheist would believe such nonsense as perfect chance
Their arguments rarely change with time.I haven't heard that "just the right mutations in just the right order" argument in a number of years. I thought creationists had moved on from it.

When a child is nursing, it's system produces an enzyme which aids in the digestion of milk. In some cases this enzyme secretion automatically shuts down when the child is weaned. They are said to be "lactose intolerant." In others it does not (because of a mutation) which allows them to digest milk as adults. They are said to be "lactose tolerant."As they say, "You can't change perfection."
Genesis 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
The only way it changes is downward.
And that's what the fact of evolution should be:
Explaining how the universe in 4004 BC got to how it is today in AD 2024 because of the Fall.
But since it doesn't, it's only a theory.
And a bad one at that.
In short, evolution should be explaining the results of the Fall, not the Creation.
It should explain where we're going, not where we came from.
In the case of Adam and Eve, lactose intolerance would be the default condition, as it is in most mammals I believe, because God anticipated them having only plants to eat as adults. Lactose intolerance is the perfection. Lactose tolerance is a mutation.
