  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Probably not.

By angels, I mean beings that exist in the spirit realm, including Satan.

Humans cannot directly observe the spirit existence of God. We do have the ability to choose to repent and be redeemed by Christ.

Angels can directly observe the spiritual existence of God. They can see that God exists. Yet, they choose to rebel against God.

Jesus says in Matthew 11:

23 And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted to the heavens? No, you will go down to Hades. For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Sodom, it would have remained to this day.
Angels who see the realities of God and still rebel have no excuse. The Bible does not describe any redemptive plan for such beings. They seem to be incapable of repenting.

Jude 1:

6 And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their proper dwelling—these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day.
If an angel falls, he is headed for judgment day.

‭‭‭Revelation‬ 20:

10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
Humans are born in a fallen state of affairs, i.e., we cannot observe God directly. We are given a chance to repent. Angelic beings can observe God directly. They should know better. Once fallen, there is no chance to repent. Some humans will judge angels.

I agree with this, yet I put the onus on the angels, not Jesus Christ. What I mean is, they actively reject God to His very Face. They are exemplified in the Sanhedrin gang that also actively rejected Him to His very Face. Though, personally, I believe that when Jesus was walking the earth, they knew that Jesus was the "Son of God" and "The Messiah", yet I don't believe that they could comprehend that God was "Mortal in the sense of SARX". They are all following the King of Pride, that rebel. Pride cannot comprehend the very Humility of God. Even though they indeed knew He was the Son of God, I don't believe that they realized that He was the very Presence of the Godhead Bodily.

All this to say, the "Redemptive Onus" is on them, not God. They clearly "Believe God Exists", but they don't "Believe that God is Trustworthy, Good and Loving". They don't KNOW God, though they have Seen God.
