Yes, 1 Timothy 4:
But can a Christian sear his conscience to permanent damage, or can he sear it, but it can be fixed?
Some can be permanently seared. Some may repent after temporary searing.
1 Corinthians 5:
Anyone, Christians and non-Christians, through stubborn unrepentance, can damage their consciences.
Believers can damage their consciences through persistent sin or false teaching. Some Christians abandon their faith, and their consciences can be seared.1 Now the Spirit expressly states that in later times some will abandon the faith to follow deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons, 2 influenced by the hypocrisy of liars, whose consciences are seared with a hot iron.
But can a Christian sear his conscience to permanent damage, or can he sear it, but it can be fixed?
Some can be permanently seared. Some may repent after temporary searing.
1 Corinthians 5:
Leave him to Satanic influences. Hopefully, he will learn and repent.5 hand this man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord.
Anyone, Christians and non-Christians, through stubborn unrepentance, can damage their consciences.
