  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hello Hello Hello! My name is Geo and I run one of the most amazing camps in the country! Every year we have over 4,000 students come in and get radically changed for Christ! We have some of the most amazing people working with us to execute a truly life changing week of camp for everyone involved. I just got done with this years camp season and I am already wanting to prepare for next year! Next year I am wanting to completely revamp the way we do things in our game area. That is where you come in. If you have any large group game ideas to suggest that would be greatly appreciated! We have teams of over 100 at times so Im gunna need you to think of that. Games that can be played between 2 teams of 100+. Feel free to think outside of the box. Money is not an object at this point. Let me know what is up your sleeves! Thank you and God bless! Look forward to reading some amazing ideas soon!

Ok so:

1. If you have a projector, you can play with them spot the differences! Take from the internet two picture that look the same but have some little differences and project them on the wall. Divide the people that come into groups and give them a time limit where they can write down the differences. THe team that gets the most diff. wins!

2. Another game could be the skit games. Again, you make teams of a certain number of people and you give each one of them a title for a skit. After that, you give them some objects that they can use in the skit and from that moment, they have around 20-30 minutes to invent a short skit. for example, the last time we played the game, my team received the skit title "Going to an interview for work" and the objects that we could use were a chair and a broom!

3. We also play mime. That is a really cool game that always make people laugh.

When I will have other ideas, I will post them!

Have teams throw one shoe into one of 2 corners. The *other* team picks up shoes and gets them matched to their owners.

This has to be a "first" game and it has to be done quickly, because there are lots of ways it can be thwarted. Y'might not want to "rate" the game, but it's pretty fun to do. As long as you haven't had a big hike before it!

I know this has worked for groups of around 25-30, dunno about 100.

"Sheep & wolves".

Y'need a big forest or a wide area at night.

Both teams must turn on their flashlights when moving.

One group is the "sheep". They clump together as a huge group, never leave the group. You can split up this group, but every member has to be part of a bigger group.

One group is the "wolves". They spread out, can work in multiple packs.

Also, the counselors are spotters at home base as well as spotters for the sheep.

The two groups are separated by a relatively wide area (so the wolves won't initially know where the sheep are).

Wolves can "take" sheep by removing them from the group. Once the sheep has lost contact with another sheep and has contact with a wolf, that sheep is "out".

So, lots of dragging and pulling.

The sheep need to get to a home base. The wolves will be aware of home base, but again don't know where it is. They can't guard the base because anyone who can catch (again contact) the wolves in sight of the home base -- they're out.
