Calvary's Tree

Christ's heart was broken
Broken for you and me
Broken the day they nailed Him
To die on Calvary's tree

Condemned to death were we
But Jesus Christ took our place
Saving us from the depths of Hell
Saved by His Redeeming Grace
​

To leave His Father's house above
How He did love us so
Knowing that to the cross
He soon would have to go
​

When we open our hearts to Him
How it must please our Lord
To know He did not die in vain
But brought God and man to accord
​

We will go to a Land of Delight
Where day has banished night
We'll live forever in the Holy City
Where Jesus Christ is the Light​
