Calling all tambourine players...?

Hey, this may be an odd question, but are there any people out there that play the tambourine as their ministry? Cause right now, I feel like I'm the only one. That's my ministry! I play tambourine in the worship band. Reply to this thread if you share the same ministry as I do.
Shalom, and God Bless!

I can't say that I only play tambourine, but I've played it enough (and continue to play it) to have this thread bring a smile to my face! A question, while we're on the subject: Have either of you explored tambourine traditions of other cultures? Check out Brazilian pandeiro, Indian kanjira or middle eastern riq... Doing so might really deepen your appreciation for the tambourine as a unique instrument-- that's exactly what it did for me. :) Regardless, keep on shakin'!

Hey,
I played tambourine when I played percussion. But now I'm the official drummer for my church, so another guy does the percussion and tambourine. I see nothing wrong with just playing tambourine...anyway that you praise the Lord is a blessing and should not be looked down on! Playing tambourine is a good thing, because no everyone can, since not everyone can carry rythm. BUT ANYWAYS... keep it up "Prayer warrior of Christ"! And may I suggest you playing percussion or even drums!
-GOD BLESS-

We already have a drummer, thanks anyway
By the way...
What's percussion?
Technically, drums are percussion; percussion describes any instrument that produces a sound by being struck (as opposed to bowed/plucked, blown, etc.) A tambourine is a percussion instrument, as are shakers, congas, bongos, triangle, and so on.
