• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I'm now a Christian Universalist (not a UU), a "Tentie," a No-Heller. I'm finishing up a book-length manuscript reviewing the KJV and weighing the evidence for the existence of Hell. I found none. The KJV is a good translation except for the Hell thing and the way it treats the name of God. I agree with Solomon - in the preparation of books there is much weariness!

Hi Laz! Welcome to Christian Forums! I'm not very familiar with Christian Universalism. Does that essentially mean you believe in Jesus, His resurrection, etc., but not hell?

Depending on your beliefs (whether you agree with the Nicene Creed, which you can find at the Statement of Faith section here: http://www.christianforums.com/help/rules/), you should check out the Controversial Theology forum (http://www.christianforums.com/thre...istian-theology-statement-of-purpose.7878699/). It's for people who are Christians, but don't believe the Nicene creed. Otherwise, if you do believe in the Nicene Creed, check out General Theology as well.

Enjoy your time here at CF!

A note - it might be interesting to have a discussion on the various views of Christians on the nature of Hell and what it entails.

Well, generally, yes, the usual doctrinal things are there except we believe that God is both willing and able to save everyone because He is sovereign. If anyone is still dead and/or in Hell, how can God become All in all? But He does. That is how I like to explain it, but I suppose others would explain it differently.
