Firstly I want to post about Californication; I know the show is pretty vulgar, so many Christians probably wouldn't watch it...but I love this show! :sorry: It's so witty and quick, and it's nice to see David Duchovny out of a suit :p (I was never a fan of the X Files)

any other fans out there?

Then I wanted to see if anyone else on here has seen/heard of Underbelly? It's an Australia TV show (now on DVD) which is (pretty accurately) based on the Melbourne gangland war (which lasted about 10 years) following the lives of some pretty infamous members of Melbourne gangs and families (Tony Mokbel, the Moran family, Evangelos Goussis etc) it stars what I guess is basically the cream of Australian TV actors including; Martin Sacks, Frankie J Holden, Les Hill, Alex Dimitriades and Vince Colosimo.

Like I said, it's now on DVD (that's how I watched it, not on TV) and I didn't think I'd like it at all...but I love it! Gritty, compelling, funny or very sad at times, very honest and very well acted. I highly recommend it to any buffs of either Aussie TV or crime stuff. It really is pretty accurate, and very real to most Australian adults, as our media has followed the Melbourne gangland wars for a long time. Of course no one in Victoria is supposed to have seen it yet...it's a court order due to some members of the gangs mentioned in the show now being on trial (in Victoria)

So yes - those are the two shows I wanna discuss. Anyone? :p
