I know, I was just giving a tiny benefit of doubt.

I really feel like Kerry made clear many of his postitions tonight. I don't think he's been so much wishy washy or flip floppy in the past as he has been unclear. He may have gotten some of the undecided voters to give him a second look tonight.

Brit Hume on Fox is spinnnnnnnnnnning so fast it's funny.
I was just going to ask about their post-debate coverage. As if I had to, but still, ya like to know there are constants in the world: death, taxes, and Brit Hume cooing sweet nothings about Bush into the camera.

No joke. I thought I'd switch it off after a few minutes, but it was pretty good.

Any predictions on what this'll do to the tenor and theme of the election?

Hopefully it will serve to force focus on issues and off of medals and boats and guard duty and things that for a large number of people voting people were not even around for.

I think Bush and Kerry tied. Neither one went out to reach the independent voters, but they both strengthened their base. There's no doubt who is stronger on national security, and it's well known that it isn't Kerry's strong point. I think Bush will win the town-hall type debate in a week and Kerry will win the domestic policy debate. Kerry in his 9 months of campaigning has not shared his plan with us on Iraq.

Well, I came into it as a republican leaning towards Bush but openminded to Kerry. He didn't change my vote as yet but I definitely see him more positively. If I didn't know better, I'd swear Kerry was the President and Bush the challenger. Democrats should be happy, Kerry did very, very good overall.

I think President Bush did a fine job. He re-enforced everything he has said and done all along. I feel Kerry's answers paled in comparison with President Bush's strength and conviction.
You can say that again, if I had a dollar for everytime he said "it's hard work" and "miss messages" I would be rich. That seemes to be the theme. Take them out he had nothing to say.

Thing is, Kerry position that he gave tonight at some levels is going to appeal to many conservatives. He's not ruling out taking action, he reserves the right to pre-emptive strikes, and he's going to continue the war on terror with gusto. Not terribly unappealing to me as a conservative.

Wow, even the Republican pundits on TV aren't saying that. Are you in the choir?
