Since this is Ethics and Morality, and therefore, the proper place to discuss ethics, by what ethical standard does staff believe they have the right to close the threads of the members with the somewhat fraudulent and self-serving assertion that they are "off-topic"?
Why are some threads determined to be in the wrong location and thereby moved to the proper location, while others are simply removed from access (i.e. deleted or closed), with the intentional affect of silencing those posting to them?
No one, not owner, administrator, moderator or other staff member may proclaim themselves to be other than anti-freedom when they engage in the act of attempting to silence the members. You are here to serve us, we are not here to serve you.
As for the "owner", the very title is a misnomer. You may own the code and the server upon which it runs, but you do not own the people nor do you hold any rightful claim to their thoughts which you and yours wipe away with no more consideration than that would be given to spilled milk.
I ask this question of everyone, but particularly those who claim to follow Jesus while casually demolishing the thoughts and voice of the members; can you show me any instance where Jesus prompted the gagging of those with whom he disagreed?
If you can't and you still choose to serve the destruction willed by the new mandates, then let you not lower yourself further by fraudulent claims to be following Jesus.
Remember that when you attempt to wipe out this post, this thread or the rising unrest as you escalate your crimes against the membership.
