  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I always feel that way about this time in the semester...it seems like forever since you had a break and even longer till your next one....once I get into November I tend to feel a little better..but midterms are the hardest times!! Don't worry you aren't alone....

i guess i am the lucky dog when it comes to midterms- several of my classes throughout college i have either been able to get out of, they didnt have them, or they were so easy that u could count them as not really a midterm, so God has blessed me there.

Unfornutaly, one semester i took 4 english courses and a speaking course, and i had so much work, i like seriously burnt myself out and hurt my brain. So now i am lucky if i can handle two classes at a time, any more than that and i really start feeling it physically. but its ok, God is providing for me, and i have to work to pay for college anyway, and i can only afford one or two classes at a time, so i dont mind as much.

I am feeling the exact same way right now. I actually dropped most of my classes because I couldn't handle it for some reason, and I have no clue why I am feeling this way this semester.

Yea , well at least its better to do that than push urself and try and do them when u dont really have the strength to. Maybe God wants u to take a season off or something- maybe there is a good reason for it. Or maybe u are just starting to wear down from so many classes or something, idk. I wore myself out, but i dont think i would have dropped classes if i had been going to them for over a month back then, as my school was paying for it, and i think i might have had to foot the bill for any dropped classes, so i dont think i had that option. But yea, best of luck to ya with all that.

Lol, wow I miss midterms! That would be so nice to go back to!

I am in nursing school and there are two to three big exams EVERY week. Last night I was studying for my test in pathophysiology that I took this morning (yes, they make us have exams on saturdays also). I was soo mserable, I knew that I didn't know the information (and would fail if I didn't know it) but it was so hard for me to make myself want to know it! It was incredibly boring!!

Just remember to work at everything as if doing it for the Lord and take lots of breaks

Well, I'm not in college, but I can relate in high school. Hours upon hours of calculus and chemistry... plus papers upon papers in english, philosophy of religion etc... Sometimes I wish I didn't push myself so hard, with taking all of my classes (I had some serious serious prayer and contemplation just to drop an elective...) But, then again, if I didn't... I'd be sad and bored..

Good luck to everyone completely stressed out by school. God bless!

totally feeling the same way right now. I'm nearly finished my first year tho. It's just hard now cuz i have absolutely no motivation. I have two assignments due this fri and two more next fri and then I just have one exam. I'm just sooo excited about the 3 months that I have off that I literally can't concentrate on my school work!!!

Have to say that I got through 3 tests last week, so now I'm stress-free for now. Of course, I'm still dreading finals that will be coming up in about another month.

Wish I could say the same...I have at least one test a week for the past three weeks...urg!! I can't wait for Thanksgiving and a break from school....

Yea I know what you mean. It is so hard to want to continue with your classes when you are so burnt out of school. That happens to me like 24/7 just have to get back up and know that the faster I finish the sooner I can start my designated career path
