One inch of snow became a foot over night! Blizzard warnings with another storm on the way capable of dropping another 10-14 inches!

Total expected by tomorrow night--2 feet! Blowing and drifting to complete this late winter storm.

Up until now we have had very little snow and I thought we were going to get to skip major snow fall this yr!

It was not to be

Bubbi,
I hope you are equipped to handle the snow! We live in an area where it snows about 4-5 times a year but it rarely stays more than 1 day. If it was more, I certainly wouldn't know how to manuver in it! Hope you have lots of ways to keep warm!

Hi Bubbi

Just be Grateful you don't live in the tiny Mountainous coal-mining town (in my child-hood) Germany.

There, we would go to sleep at night...with 1/2 the bottom story disappeared from snow - only to
Awaken
the next day, with the entire-first story buried. No wonder they put us kids, on skis as soon as we were walking *independently*; because by the time we were, each, in Kindergarten we had to competently SKI to school, (only a mile away in the center of town).

What Helpful-resources do you have, right where you live, Bubbi? ~
Hopefully, well stocked with Food, and other useful essentials, right?

SNOW???!!!! THAT deep!!! WOW!!!!

We always stock up for winter--so as long as we dont loose power--we will be fine.
Right now the snow is coming down fast and furious and our door is blocked!

Chix and dumplings sounds like the perfect snowed in meal!
